Rtn. Rajendra Agarwal commenced his journey in Rotary in 1992, as the charter member of Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City. In 2005-06 he was elected as the Club President. During his tenure, Bombay Queen City was adjudged as the 2nd best club in the District and was awarded a Platinum Trophy. Rtn Rajendra had taken lead in major district service projects, like Pediatric Heart Surgery, Cancer, Railway Stations, medical camps, blood donations etc. His exemplary work has been rewarded with multiple excellence awards including receiving from the Rotary International President, “Four Avenues of Service Citation” for Individual Rotarians. He has been Instrumental in our Rotary District signing “The Project Muskan” MOU, with then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Phadnavis for Pediatric Surgeries for the underprivileged. Till now this project has coordinated over 5000 Pediatric Heart Surgeries, 2 heart transplant, 8 liver transplants etc. Rtn. Rajendra Agarwal’s accomplishments go beyond Rotary. He has received a gold medal for The Textile Engineering qualification from VJTI. He the went on to complete Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. He has been active in the Family Textile Business, Suditi Industries Ltd. and Suditi Sports Apparel Ltd.; Suditi Industries has received an award for being the Second Biggest Exporter of knitted fabrics at the hands of then Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Rtn Rajendra Agarwal became the Rotary Governor of the prestigious Mumbai District 3141 in 2021-22. During this period, he has governed 108 clubs who did over 10000 projects worth 200cr plus. The Rotary foundation collection of RID -3141 was 3.5 million US Dollars which was 2nd highest in the whole world. District 3141 was awarded 9 awards in TRF & 3 awards in Public Relations at the Rotary Institute held at Vishakapatnam. RID-3141 was recognised for the best community service done amongst all the districts in India. The Main Projects during 2021-22 were: Installation of 30 Water Coolers at Railway Stations. Blood Donation Camps at Railway Stations and Colleges where 13000 bottles were collected in over 100 camps.
